When God says STOP...IT HAS TO STOP!
A few weeks my family and I enjoyed a relaxing vacation in Cape Cod, the coastal section of Massachusetts. We had the pleasure of spending one of our adventure days at Mayflower beach located a few miles from our living accommodations.
It was a beautiful warm day and the tide was extremely low so there was an abundance of dry sandy areas for us to pitch our beach gear on. A few hours into our visit, my daughter and I stole away for a few minutes to garner snacks from the nearby cafe. As we were returning to our spot on the beach, we noticed my husband and two sons walking towards us with all of our beach equipment in hand.
“What’s the matter?”, I called to him. “The tide is coming in,” he responded.
We moved our beach equipment as close to the shoreline as possible and returned to enjoying the Atlantic Ocean. We experimented with the rising tide by building sand castles and islands on various areas of the dry land and watched in utter amazement as the water rushed in washing them away with no concern to the effort that we put in to building them. Finally, the tide fully came in and it stopped exactly at the shoreline. That’s
when God started speaking to me.
What we built after the shoreline was protected and could not not be destroyed or washed away by the tide because God had issued a command during the creation of the seas that its power was limited! As mighty as the Atlantic Ocean is it could not cross an inch over the boundaries that God had set! How awesome is that?? God said in Jeremiah
5:22 (NLT) Have you no respect for me? Why don’t you tremble in my presence? I, the Lord, define the ocean’s sandy shoreline as an everlasting boundary that the waters cannot cross. The waves may toss and roar, but they can never pass the boundaries I set
Our Word from the Lord today is don’t fear He has set a BOUNDARY from the moment He created us in our mother’s womb! What has been rising up against us cannot overtake us regardless of its roar and tossing! The Lord has issued a “STOP” in the Spirit. Don’t fret about what you may have built in the past that has washed away….He says that you are at the shoreline now so it is SAFE to rebuild again.
Did you hear what I said?? Go ahead and rebuild your family, ministry, business, and educational dreams! Write and publish that book, play, or movie script! You are at the shoreline! It is SAFE to build again! God has commanded a STOP to the chaos in the Spirit so you can get started accomplishing the desires of your heart!@
